The East African Community (EAC) is a regional organization mandated by the governments of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda to spearhead the East African economic, social and political integration agenda. The Treaty for the establishment of the East African Community was signed in November 1999 and entered into force in July 2000. The Community wishes to invite interested service providers for the supply of point-to-point broadband connectivity for the EAC Video Conferencing System. The details of the broadband connectivity are contained in the Terms of Reference for connectivity requirements.

Tenderers will provide the following information: Company name. Physical and Postal address, Current Trading Licence, Certificate of Registration/Incorporation, Tax Identification Number and VAT Certificate.

Tenders shall be quoted in United States Dollars (USS) and prices should be inclusive of VAT where applicable, handling and delivery to East African Community Stores. The Community will not pay or reimburse any expense incurred by any entity intending to bid in response to this tender.

Any request for clarification must be received by the Community in writing at least 3days before the deadline for submission of tenders.
This tender consists of a single lot.

Delivery must be made within 30 days of contract signature.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre -bid Meeting scheduled for 13 August 2014 at 10:00 am local time at the EAC Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. Bidders will not be penalised for non-attendance.
The closing date is Monday 1st September 2014 at 11:00 am immediately followed by public opening of bids received.

Please note, the Community is not bound to accept the lowest or any other bid and any canvassing will be used as ground for disqualification.
Sealed bids must be submitted in one original and two copies filled according to schedule of requirements and price attached as Appendix

Submit your sealed bids in plain envelope, clearly marked "INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF POINT-TO-POINT MPLS AND INTERNET SERVICES FOR CONNECTIVITY OF CISCO TX 9000 - TELE­PRESENCE VIDEO CONFERENCING SYSTEM" The bid must be accompanied with a non-refundable tender fee of USD 100 in Bankers Cheque. Cash payment can be made to the Cashier at the EAC headquarters (Copy of the receipt should be included into the tender document) The bid should be addressed and submitted to:-
