Responsible for managing project demand and delivery aligned with the IT and Business strategy in the region

Ensure that Southern Africa IT&S project portfolio is delivered on time, on budget and to consistent quality standards, delegating where appropriate, intervening where necessary and escalating when required.

Responsible for the delivery of programme outcomes in a way that optimises the business value.

Accountable for the delivery of projects within a programme

Management of project interdependancies and risks to maximise programme efficiency

In conjunction with the Projects Center of Excellence, deploy a standard programme and project management methodology. Ensure that the appropriate processes and tools are in place for the systematic measurement of project delivery effectiveness, including benefits management and delivery, RAG status, Healthchecks, peer assists, etc.

Ensure consistent project level controls are in place and are working

Establish programme level controls and appropriate reporting

Analyse project and programme information to optimise programme delivery

Establish and manage appropriate governance for the programme at project and programme level.

Make visible key project interdependencies and associated risks to allow resource optimization and effective management of business change.
