"Ambion Wireless is an innovative start-up company that provides wireless broadband Internet connections to several Lagos neighbourhoods. Utilizing Wi-Fi technology and proprietary antennas and repeaters, Ambion will be able to serve a large area with Wireless Internet connections.
Job Title: Network Engineer
Design and configure Cisco networks. (Switches, Routers, IP Telephony)
Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices.
Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
Oversee software and network security.
Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
Technical Skills and Requirements for Network Engineer
First Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or an equivalentCertifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP
This individual will be responsible for deploying and maintaining networks at customer sites.
Firm understanding of Linux, Windows 2000, 2003, Active Directory. Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 would be an advantage.
Good understanding of applications, servers, Databases, emails servers such as Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003 & Exchange 2007. Knowledge of MS SharePoint would be an advantage.
