A New Era in Optical Fiber – A Corning Free Webinar

20 May, 2013
A NEW ERA IN OPTICAL FIBER, presented by Dr. Merrion Edwards
The ever-increasing bandwidth demand by today’s communications networks continues to challenge carriers already under pressure to reduce network upgrade CapEx. As a result, there is a growing focus on reduction of network complexity, harmonization of components and increased intra-compatibility of transmission infrastructure. Contrary to this trend, carriers have had to make a choice between “low transmission loss” and “low bend loss” fiber infrastructure depending on the application space. But a new era of optical fiber has arrived and carriers can now benefit from transparency in their fiber infrastructure as there is no longer a need to choose

This free webinar brought to you by Telecoms.com in association with Corning will explore these trends.
• Understand how the capacity demand challenge increases fiber complexity and thus cost in the optical fiber network foundation
• See how advances in optical fiber deliver more margin for higher capacity and more subscriber coverage to enable super connectivity
• Learn that a new era of optical fiber has arrived with a recent innovation that delivers a cost effective transparent fiber infrastructure.
Date: Wednesday 22nd May

All registered attendees will receive a unique link which will allow them to view the webinar content after the event has taken place.
