The Chief Software architect of Mobile Software Solution Limited, Chris Uwaje in response to the Ebola virus spreading and killing people globally has deployed a Team to create Ebola database-engine, an app to capture the virus report online across the nation.

Uwaje who is the promoter of Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG) app said at the weekend that as concerned IT citizen of Nigeria, his team was challenged to deploy as a matter of national emergency IT expertise and skills to engage and curtail the Ebola pandemic.

"The app has been developed and can be accessed free of charge at : http://bit.ly/1opksI4.Log on, spread the word and lets avert the waiting catastrophe together" Uwaje, who was the immediate past President of Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria, ISPON, said.

According to him, Ebola report centre (ERC) is an app created as an emergency response mechanism to assist in curtailing the Ebola pandemic ravaging the West African region and now resident in Nigeria.

Due to the monumental challenge presented by the rescue mission to curtail and deliver time-effective treatment and related solutions to victims of Ebola, he explained that ERC was created as the fastest platform to take advantage of the ubiquitous mobile density in Nigeria to collect relevant Database on Ebola, act as an information centre for Health and Health Care delivery sector and build a history of Ebola occurrence and statistical reference for future generation.
