Expo Tic Assesses State of Information Technologies

Luanda — The third edition of the Expo TIC- Angola International Information and Communication Technologies Hall - that was opened Thursday in Luanda by incumbent minister will assess the state of development of the information technologies in the country.

According to the minister José de Carvalho da Rocha, who was addressing the opening of the event, it will also enable the creation of an environment of interaction among the various actors involved in the sector of telecommunications and information technologies in Angola.

He added that his department will continue working to create a sound environment with the regulator organs, operators and service firms, including the users of the information technologies. José carvalho da Rocha also stated that his ministry is also concerned about creating a firm basis for the implementation of the factors of support for the economic , financial and social development of the country.

"We are fully convicted that those who come to this fair will have the opportunity to assess what our country has today in the ambit of information and communication technologies, and its capacity to respond to the various problems," he said.

Jointly Sponsored by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies and the Luanda International Fair (FIL), the event is intended to publicise the good practices in the public administration, through the presentation of projects developed by the government and promote entrepreneurship in the ICTs, through school projects.
