A Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology student has innovated a digital system to boost SACCO operations.

Patrick Kaberia, a student who doubles up as an employee at the institution said his innovation will digitalise Sacco operations.

He said his software innovation " SACCONET" , will provide solutions to the wasted spent by members visiting Sacco offices.

Kaberia said Saccos face difficulties in providing services to their members due to inaccessibility.

"Saccos are situated in specific geographical locations, their members are very mobile and need to go digital," he said.
